Throughout the year, Second Harvest Heartland relies on the generosity and commitment of many groups and individuals to help transform the hunger-relief system and provide more food to our neighbors in need. The Vintner Ball is an example of how caring individuals can cooperate to meaningfully improve the lives of our neighbors.

During the past seven years, nearly $1,000,000 has been raised at the Vintner Ball on behalf of Second Harvest Heartland: enough to provide nearly 3.6 million meals to those in our community who count on us for support.

The demand for food has never been greater. Hunger in our service area has doubled in the past five years. And today, 1 in 10 people right here in Minnesota are at risk of missing a meal. Here in the heartland of one of the world’s most fortunate nations, there is no reason anyone should have to go without a meal today.

The commitment and partnership of our Vintner Ball friends is a shining example of the tremendous support of our community. When we work together, we can truly transform the lives of our neighbors in need.
